Target group All company personnel who have daily involvement with thermal energy, its measurement and billing. All manufacturers of heat meters, and test laboratories for heat and energy supply companies. Aims The Seminar provides the delegates with fundamental knowledge of platinum resistance thermometers, selecting the correct type, and pairing. The requirements for type approval and measurement/pairing in the test laboratory are explained. Practical examples are used to illustrate the problem of sources of error caused by the installation. Requirements Basic technical knowledge. Contents As a result of the legal limits for calibration errors, the AGFW recommendations for the installation of temperature sensors, and not least the European Standard EN 1434, the temperature sensors which are used must fulfil a large number of technical specifications.
