Industrial temperature measurement

Course No. JK 900010.0                  The lecture is held in German!

Target group
All company personnel who have daily involvement with electrical temperature measurement, and who carry responsibility for the correct selection and optimum application of temperature sensors.

Aims
The seminar provides the participant with the fundamentals of thermocouples and resistance thermometers in industrial use, and help for the selection of the correct method. The participants learn the advantages of the individual measurement methods, their limitations and the accuracies that can be achieved, and will then be able to select the correct temperature sensor.

Requirements
Basic technical knowledge

Contents
Temperature is one of the most important parameters that is measured in all areas of technology. As well as providing information about design solutions for various sectors and practical tips to avoid faults, the seminar also covers standards-traceable temperature measurement, as is demanded by quality assurance systems.

The course covers:

  • the concept of temperature
  • thermocouple fundamentals
  • measurement parameters of thermocouples, and practical advice
  • fundamentals of the platinum temperature sensors
  • measurement parameters of resistance thermometers, and practical advice
  • types and forms of thermometer
  • temperature measurement and quality assurance
  • determination of measurement tolerances in temperature measurement
