Target group
Personnel in commissioning/maintenance/servicing who require detailed information on the fundamentals of control technology. Engineers and technicians who plan systems/installations. Anyone who wants to brush up their knowledge of control technology.

Aims
You will learn how to choose the appropriate controller for your application, how to configure and optimize it, and how to operate it.

Requirements
Basic knowledge of control technology. The content of the seminar is essentially the same as for "Fundamentals of control technology", but presented in a more condensed form.

Contents
Control technology ensures the improvement of products and production processes, and consistent quality. In this seminar you will learn to use the most important parameters, such as X_p, T_v and T_n, with confidence. The practical exercises are carried out with the aid of a software program and JUMO DICON compact controllers.

The course covers:

Basic control technology concepts (DIN 19 226)
Types of controlled processes
the PID controller with analog output and its adjustment parameters X_p, T_n, and T_v
Influencing the control action by means of X_p, T_n and T_v
Optimization procedure
Working with single-setpoint, double-setpoint, modulating and actuating controllers
Workshop

Methods:		Lecture / tutorial discussion /practical group work/ working with the instrument and a model process
