Target group
Personnel in commissioning/maintenance/servicing who require detailed
information on the fundamentals of control technology. Engineers and technicians
who plan systems/installations. Anyone who wants to brush up their knowledge
of control technology.
Aims
You will learn how to choose the appropriate controller for your application,
how to configure and optimize it, and how to operate it.
Requirements
Basic knowledge in using PCs and Windows, and automation technology.
Contents
The necessary theoretical fundamentals will be discussed and consolidated
straightaway by practical demonstrations. The seminar includes a workshop,
which will take up around 50 percent of the time.
The course covers:
- Basic control technology concepts (DIN
19 226)
- Types of controlled processes
- the PID controller with analog output
and its adjustment parameters Xp, Tn, and Tv
- Influencing the control action by means
of Xp, Tn and Tv
- Optimization procedure
- Working with single-setpoint, double-setpoint,
modulating and actuating controllers
- Control loop structures (cascade control,
additive disturbance etc.) and special controller functions
- Workshop
